Milan Fashion Week 2014: Fully occupied seats at the fashion show of Bottega Veneta in Milan. Right at the very beginning, the collection starts with a favorite piece: The masterpiece is a nude colored coat made of cropped fur and a hip-hugging waistband which will be shown later in purple color again. Tomas Maier, Creative Director at the Italian luxury lifestyle brand Bottega Veneta, shows an in-depth exploration of cut and pattern-making at the Fall / Winter show 14 / 15. The designer did a collection solely devoted to dresses. Colorblocked graphic patterns give movement to the dresses that flow out until they hit the knees. With patchwork-like leather applications, ornamental zigzag seams, blurry prints or micro-pleated details, Tomas Maier creates extraordinary patterns which cause optical illusions and graphic energy. The shown dresses made of cotton or pleated chiffon in nude, black, bordeaux or white create a hint of movement and thus a feeling of liberty. Classy leather cases complete the elegance of the collection which stands for an outing of feminine strength – understatement at its best! Bottega Veneta is an Italian luxury goods house which is famous for its leather accessoires. The label was founded in 1966 and purchased in 2001 by Gucci. Today, Bottega Veneta is part of the French multinational PPR-Group. Even Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of American Vogue, smiles after Tomas Maiers presentation at Milan Fashion Week.
